Dr Jeevanan Jahendran

Dr Jeevanan Jahendran earned his Master’s in Otorhinolarygology from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur in 2004. He served as a Lecturer & ENT Specialist at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia from October 2004 and as a Senior Lecturer and Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist from 2007 to 2011. Currently he works as a consultant Otorhinolaryngologist in Pantai Hospital Cheras and Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

His current focus is in rhinology and sleep disordered breathing. In the academic field, he has published numerous articles and supervised and collaborated in research both with clinical implications as well as in areas of biotechnology and stem cell research. In terms of networking and foreign collaboration; he has conducted meetings and presented in numerous local and international meetings and has a great networking with all the leading ENT doctors within the region and internationally. He is an experienced speaker in the local arena and has conducted many talks and workshops for pharmaceutical companies as part of their continuous medical education commitment.

Dr Jeevanan Jahendran has a maintained good leadership and interpersonal skills and has served in various committees and subcommittees. He is the Past President of the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons and has served as a council member of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia from 2015 to 2016.

He was the Organising Chairman for the Inaugural Asean Sleep Congress 2012 and the 18th Asian Research Symposium in Rhinology in Kuala Lumpur in 2016. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons (MSOHNS) Subcommittee on Fee Schedule and Insurance Related Issues. He is currently a member of the Specialty Subcommittee of Otorhinolaryngology under the National Specialist Register.
